Barbara Hendricks: "Ich bin zwar kein Komponist, aber ich glaube, dass es beim Schreiben wichtig ist, eine Botschaft zu vermitteln. Denn Musik muß auch in der Lage sein können, politisch zu sein.So wie die Stimmen der Protestsongs. Fähig, politischen Druck auszuüben. Und ganze Generationen dazu zu bewegen, Veränderungen herbeizuführen."
